The challenges a leader faces in the contemporary rapidly changing world are evermore complex – coaching helps to bring clarity, find self-confidence and discover new paths in your ways of thinking.
Situations where the future is unclear and people experience uncertainty and being disconnected, have become common. Therefore it is even more difficult for the leaders to sustain inter-team connection and commitment, to support innovation and creativity.
How could a leader sustain the clarity of mind and stay positive? How to turn these difficult challenges into new opportunities?
Through a deeper self-reflection, coaching helps to see the bigger picture as well as different perspectives, bring clarity in both personal as well as professional spheres of life.
Together, we shall exchange ideas, review values and beliefs. Acknowledge how feelings affect emotions and behaviours. If necessary, we shall create new patterns.
Patrick Lencioni has said: “If you could get all the people in the organization rowing in the same direction, you could dominate any industry, in any market, against any competition, at any time.”
I believe that it is the dream of each leader as well as a team member to work in a motivated and well-functioning team. One that has defined its goals and strategy, one that has clear roles, agreements, trust and co-operation. In reality, most teams lack some of these features and this leads to frustration, tension or conflicts.
Creating a well-functioning team is a complex process and a significant challenge for a leader who has to strive for the expected results as well as sense the pulse of the team. The set-backs tend to occur when this goes out of rhythm and if this condition lasts longer, it is very difficult for the leader to turn it around.
Team coaching helps the team to learn. Its prerequisites for the team as well as the coach are openness, courage, commitment and co-operation. A good outcome of the process is when a good vibe is created within the team and the team itself takes over the coach’s role.
In my work I am relying on Peter Hawking’s systemic team coaching model.
The process lasts 9-12 sessions and requires commitment during the sessions as well carrying out activities in between.
Too often people turn to a psychologist when they have completely mentally exhausted themselves, have experienced a burn-out or are in depression. Coaching helps to prevent it.
Listening, mirroring, asking questions, looking for solutions and planning activities are the best ways to prevent serious mental problems.
Coaching can be of help if you still have energy and strength to change something in your life. I can be a supportive and positive partner for you on that path.
I offer these sessions in co-operation with the Medical Center Confido.
The rapidly changing world with its new challenges is forcing us to pay more attention to attaining a physical and mental balance. The best way to achieve this is to address it through conversations and practical activities.
Depending on the needs of your organization or team, we shall find an approach that fits best by selecting the topics to focus on and techniques to practice.
